I feel highly honoured to know funmi Gbemudu, the lady with the heart of Gold. All roads lead to the Blue velvet Marquee, City park, Wuse 2, Abuja for the classy groove. This was the follow up to the opening and dedication to God Almighty of an orphanage built by Funmi to mark her  years on earth. Believe me when i say this lady does not look a day older than 24… Oh yes and she is also agile … Yes, I have seen her win a couple of races over the years. No one doubted, this party was fly….DJ Fresh waves was on point,… Ample space for people to dance and move around conveniently. On the part of CIO, I was very excited because we decided to test run our display tree…Funmi wanted the guests to have cocktails upon arrival and the display tree more than served that purpose..We had various mocktails placed on the tree which was strategically placed by the entrance of the marquee and manned by CIO staff. All the guests had to do was to take a glass of whichever cocktail caught their fancy. It was fun for us at CIO as we saw a lot of our regular and loyal clients and many prospective business opportunities.  In fact we turned some of the guests into our CIO muse as you will see in the pictures below. Funmi  Gbemudu is a woman I have a lot of respect and admiration for, because even in the midst of celebrating, she remembered to give back to the society and the under privileged in the form of building  The City of Refuge Orphanage in Mpape area of Abuja (Please feel free to get in touch with 08051138399 if this speaks to you anyhow and you want to help out with the completion of the whole building project and for any other assistance or enquiry concerning the city of Refuge Orphanage -08033085825 Oh yeah,  I almost forgot, it was a themed parry.. Guests were to dress like any Celebrity of their choice….and they sure did. My personal favourite was a CIO client/ friend/sister dressed as Mary J Blige.. She was so on point! Anyone can guess who the celebrant is??????…

I am so excited that  these set of pictures will be  the  1st ever published on this blog!

This was one of the jobs we did this last Saturday and I really loved   the concept and execution. Kudos to Rukayat, the  pleasant lady and friend  behind REEDAS   line for her one in town event and more importantly her SUNSET collection.

She unveiled her Sunset collection in a true Ramadan /Arabian style where her clients were invited to an IFTAR (breaking of  fast) in an Arabian themed tent.

One of the things I  liked about this event was the serenity of it all.. Oh and the Akara (fried bean cake) was something else! hmmm, yes,I had a few because I was there too.

The event was what proper events should be, .. Nice crowd, lots to eat and drink, and fantastic ambience.

And of course CIO was there making  our “mind blowing mocktails and shakes”…

I’m using this opportunity to say a big thank you to the Reedas team for making us their preferred choice and to you Rukayat, for being a worthy Nigerian ambassador, your “ to die for collection”,  creativity, humility and poise.

More cool things to come between CIO and Reedas..
